I help out!

I am learning to help out around the home. I am getting good at it and now help out when visiting mormor and morfar. I have been to visit them lots of times and know where things are. Today has been really hot and I have helped mummy and daddy in the garden. Mummy planted lots on nice plants and daddy moved lots of compost around! I think it is almost time to pick the first rhubarb. I saw lots of children playing games last night on the play fields when daddy took my for my evening walk. They all seemed very happy. Tomorrow is Sunday and we have people visiting in the afternoon so I will have to be on my best behaviour and charm them.

Flying with morfar!

Sometime morfar gets confused and thinks he can fly! This is fun as I get to pretend with him. We fly through the air at great speed attached to an old tyre and a rope. I like the feeling lots. It is already Friday again and I have discovered the garden hose. This is my favourite new toy. I can make everything wet with it and wash my hair. The odd thing is that the water runs out every night just before I have to go inside and get ready for bed!

Fun in the playground

At the weekend I went to visit mormor and morfar! Daddy picked me up from dagis and we drove all the way and somehow when we got there mummy was in the car as well. I wonder if that happened when I took a short nap so that I would have enough energy to play when we arrived. I have heaps of fun. On Sunday when mummy and mormor went to the garden centre daddy, morfar and I went to the playground. It was super sunny and I had to use my sun hat. I must have played lots as I slept all the way home in the car.

Science experiments

I have started designing science experiments like mummy. I like authentic problems and have been creating such experiments for dagis. This photo shows me designing a water based experiment that investigates how pipes can be used to move water between two points. Plumbers do this and it is important to learn how to do this as soon as possible. I have also started to sing. I like singing and perhaps I can be good at it if I work on it.

Watching TV with Pooh and Morfar

I like watching TV and sometimes I get to watch TV with Pooh and Morfar at the same time. I like doing this especially when the there is a good programme on television. Morfar has the same taste in programmes and me and finds things exciting at the same time as me. Today the weather has been really good and I had lots of fun at dagis. I wonder if the good weather has come for good or whether snow will come back before I get my suntan. Morfar still has more of a tan than me. Hopefully I can go to Thailand to get a tan next time he goes there.

Sometimes I am upset

sometimes things are just too much for me and I get upset and these big crocodile tears fall from my eyes. I have promised mummy that I won't get upset tomorrow night when I at home all evening alone with daddy. I wonder what quality time things daddy has prepared for me to do? Perhaps we will make a mother's day card for Sunday. I must remind daddy as his memory really isn't very good for such things. I am sure that mormor will remind daddy....

Cleaning the dust away

I love cleaning and mummy and daddy love it when I clean. Mummy keeps saying that I am like those robot vacuum cleaners that randomly rove around. I think I am much more focussed and look for the dust mummy and daddy have missed. There is so much of it at the moment in the air when the sun shines. Daddy picked me up from dagis today and we played on the swings and in my sandpit before we went inside and started to cook dinner. Daddy was confused and tried to make the wrong food! Luckily he realized that fish and fishballs were different before he chopped the onion. I ate a sandwich for my supper.

Shopping is fun!

I like shopping but I like unpacking even more. Here I am being helpful and emptying the shopping bags before mummy and daddy have time to put the things away. Today I am also helping with the baking of a wonderful cake. I am sure when it is finished it will taste excellent and very sweet. The weather is still not very warm. It feels like winter is on its way back. Mum and dad don't seem very happy about this and mormor's pansies died with the -6°C frost last night. It was not that cold in my bed or this morning when I got up to watch Tomas and friends.

The weather has gone mad

Today's weather was mad. It was cold, hot, snowy, sunny and it hailed! It was fun to guess what would happen next, but annoying when it was cold windy and snowy. I still go to play outside and have a go on my swing after dinner. Mummy picked me up from dagis today and we cycled home. This morning I walked all the way there with daddy picking me up! It was cool. Tomorrow daddy will pick me up as mummy is going to a seminar. She has talked a lot about it for the past two days.

Eating outside

Sometimes I eat my food outside. Food is good. I like food and mummy and daddy make such good food. Sometime I help them make it, but most often I just watch. Today we had palt. I also did some cleaning around the house. The vacuum cleaner is fun to use. I tried to clean the air yesterday as there was so much dust flying around it in. I am not sure it go much better but I tried really hard. I am still waiting for the road to be cleaned. It is still covered in winter stones.

It's so cool to swing

It is such fun to swing and I can now do it at home, at the local playground and at dagis. So I can swing during the day, in the evening and at the weekend. This is so cool. I love the swing. We are going to move the one at home to a better spot as soon as daddy has cut down lots of bushes and trees. I keep reminding him but nothing has happened yet. Today I got three new pairs of shoes from the shop in town. We cycled there as the weather was good. I had to walk around town and that was a bit too much at times and I had to be carried. We ate lunch in town in the park and looked at the river.

Noel needs your chips

Just like that First World War poster Your country needs you, I need your chips! Chips I have discovered and I eat them whenever mum and dad forget they are around! They forget lots and that is really good. Today is Friday and I have had a super good day at Dagis playing with a big digger. Hopefully I can play with it all day on Monday as well. This evening the rubbish men came and I enjoyed watching them take all the rubbish away. I wonder where they take it to. I will have to google to find out.

Playing Marilyn

Last week I discovered that the vacuum cleaner blew out air. This was fun and I realised what fun Marilyn must have been having when that famous photo of her was taken. I wonder if she sounded as excited as me. This morning I woke up a bit earlier than usual, but not much, honest. I want to see if the seed I planted at dagis has started to grow yet. I forgot that I have to go to dagis to find out so it wasn't worth waking up early as I now have to be awake longer before we go to dagis. Wow a big yellow tractor just passed the window. I must run and have a better look.

Reading Thomas

I love my Thomas books. There are full of lovely pictures and lots of words. I haven't quite cracked the decoding problem, but soon I am sure I will be able to read as well as I write. I have a swing in the garden now and I like it loads. I made daddy help me swing directly we got home from dagis today. I helped make the dinner tonight. I cracked the eggs into the bowl and whisked them. The food even tasted good. It is odd to think that it is Wednesday already tomorrow.

Washing my hair

As soon as I heard mormor and morfar were coming to visit I decided that I just had to wash my hair and what a better place to do this than over the kitchen sink. I found this so much better than when daddy tries to wash my hair when I am trying to splash and have fun in the bath. Daddy hasn't quite got the video under control yet; I don't normally get water to fall horizontally. For those of you who are not familiar with my dialect: mycket jag hetta = Mycket jag tvättar = Much I wash or much yes! wash

Today was exciting. I got my own swings for the garden. Morfar helped mummy and daddy put them together which is just as well as I don't know if I would have dared to use them otherwise. We also changed the tyres on the car to summer tyres and took lots of leaves to the recycling station. There were lots of other people doing similar things there. We had pizza for dinner once mormor and morfar had left to drive home. I hope I get to see them again soon.

The last of the snow

I just had to have a last sledge on the snow before it all disappeared. It was fun. The snow has now all gone and the lawn has been raked and soon it will need cutting! Poor mummy and daddy who will have to drive the lawn-mower. Yesterday I helped mummy make a cake and I discovered that Swedish and English are different (perhaps I should do a PhD in Linguistics!). I told mummy we were adding "Blomma" to the cake as daddy said we were adding Flower! But daddy said Flour and that is not anything like Blomma. I am a bit confused but I am sure I will sort it all out before I start school. Today mormor and morfar came to see me. More about that tomorrow!
