Early morning with daddy

This morning Moster Sara had to get up in time to get to the airport to catch her flight. I was very worried that everyone would oversleep so I made sure that daddy was awake from 04:30 onwards. Just after 06:00 he decided we could watch Thomas and Friends. I thought this was wonderful. The only problem was that I fell asleep and daddy being the lazy person he is, he fell asleep too! Moster Sara was clever and had set her alarm clock! She took this photo of daddy and me. Then mummy woke us up and daddy rushed to get dressed, remove the snow from the car and drive Moster to the airport. I took things a little more slowly and ate my breakfast before going outside to play in the snow!

Can you guess why I stayed on at Mormor and Morfar's after Christmas?

It is fun to be at home, but it is also fun to be away! The best bit is explaining difficult concepts to adults who really ought to understand, but don't! Adults are odd things. They are good at so many useful practical things, but abstract concepts they really don't understand even when I explain them to them in the most simple vocabulary! They are always happy when being taught! Hopefully mummy and daddy are in clever moods tomorrow night when I have to explain to them what I had been doing for the past two days without them! Oh well! We shall see how that goes tomorrow.

Harry and me

Harry and me are the best of mates. Sometimes though I forget where I have put Harry. Yesterday just before mummy and daddy drove home I put Harry in a nice box for him to play in. But when I went to bed Harry and the box were gone! No one could find poor Harry. This morning he was outside and still playing in the box I had put him. He was so happy to see me again that he took his midday nap with me. Tomorrow I will drive home with mormor, moster Sara and Harry. I like travelling.

Merry Christmas

Today I have had lots of fun again. I woke up at 6:45 and asked daddy nicely (lots of times) if I could go and watch Thomas the Tank Engine. Finally he agreed and he lay on the sofa and I watched Thomas and his friends having lots of fun together. We took a nice long walk before lunch and this evening we drove to look at look at houses that have lots of Christmas lights on them. We also saw some train wagons. They looked just like the ones that belong to Thomas.

Santa brings the Christmas presents

Today was super exciting. Suddenly there was a knock at the window and Santa was there. I ran to the door with daddy and let Santa in with his big sack of presents. I helped him, just like a good Santa elf to distribute the presents to all those who were spending Christmas with Mormor and Morfar. I got lots of good presents. Some Lego duplo, a Thomas DVD, and a Thomas dressing gown! Santa is now winging his way to England where I hope that my cousins Lara and George get lots of presents as well. Merry Christmas to everyone who reads my little blog.

Eating a Christmas Ice cream

I like ice cream and I was allowed to eat an entire cone by myself the other evening! I hope this is an indication of the Christmas food I will be getting. I hope so! I tried really hard not to make a big mess so that mummy and daddy think I am up to eating lots of nice messy foods.

Driving in the forest

Last weekend when I chose our Christmas Tree I got to try this lovely four-wheel drive vehicle! I am not sure I want one at home as we have no forest to drive it in, but it was super useful in the forest. Today I am helping at home with the preparation for Christmas. I have to check that there will be enough parcels for Santa to deliver to me!

Moster helps decorating the Christmas tree

Yesterday evening daddy went away and I stayed at home playing with mummy! Then daddy came back with moster! i was mega excited and made moster play lots with me. Then we went to the basement and daddy brought the Christmas Tree up the stairs. It is now in the sitting room and covered in lights, baubles, tinsel and lots of little figures with the straw goat standing near the tree. It is so pretty; I am so happy! I am not sure why we did this, but I am sure daddy will try and explain it me. I just hope it is not as complicated as when he tried to explain the Trinity and how three can be one! My maths really is not that good yet! Moster went away this evening, but I will see here again on Sunday!

Selecting a Christmas Tree

Today I went to the forest and selected a Christmas Tree! It was very difficult, but I chose one that is so good that it went in the car and is not too tall so that we have to make a big hole in our new roof. I had help of Tinkerbell and her fairy friends. You can see them shinning in the photograph. I wonder when we will bring the tree inside. It has to defrost or something...very odd! It sounds as it if is made of ice-cream. I like ice-cream we had some for lunch today. It was super yummy.

Pepparkakor

Today we are having early morning coffee and eating the papparkakor (Swedish ginger biscuits) I made last weekend when mormor came to visit. It was lots of fun to knead, roll and use all the cutters to make different shapes. I made Christmas trees, feet, trains, stars and lots of other shapes. I made so many that we will still have some even after today's morning coffee. Soon we are going to jump in the car and drive away and find a Christmas tree.

Lucia

On Thursday it was St Lucy's day and at dagis we celebrated this by dressing up, carrying candles and singing. Afterwards all the mummies and daddies stayed to eat rice pudding and ham sandwiches. I liked my candle lots and played with it lots at home beforehand so I knew how to carry it properly. I like my red hat too. I wore it to dagis yesterday morning. I also take my Thomas the tank engine to dagis everyday as I love him so much. Tomorrow we are going to find a Christmas Tree and decorate it. I wonder where we are going to put it and what we will do with it afterwards. I guess daddy and I will burn it on the fire. I like fire, except when I burn my finger!

Bath time is the best

Sometimes before I go to bed I have a bath. This I like lots! The best bit is that I can splash the water everywhere. Sometimes I even splash water over daddy with a bucket! He doesn't like this too much, but I think is it fun (and the floor needs cleaning so it is good that someone makes mummy and daddy clean the floor isn't it?). We haven't been outside as much as usual at dagis this week as it has been raining and all the snow has turned into ice and water. The grass has reappeared at home but I don't think mummy and daddy will be cutting the lawn as it is very muddy. Hopefully I can go and play in the mud and get really dirty. Perhaps tomorrow with mormor after we have baked some biscuits.

Checking the Christmas cupboard

Christmas is soon here and I know that lots of extra food and drink has to be at home. I decided that I have to check the cupboard and make sure that there are enough things at home just in case we cannot get out. I found a few cans and some other things. The can was the best and I hope mummy and daddy buy lots more so I can try them. Morfar is here this evening and we have been playing with Thomas the Tank Engine! Perhaps he will want one of these cans?

A video of my skiing skills

As you see from this video I am super good at skiing already and am aiming for a place in the British Olympic Team for the next winter Olympics. The Swedish team demands more training and I haven't got that much time in my dagis schedule at the moment. Daddy was supposed to be out partying tonight but he came home early as he was not very well. I think I gave him something nasty that I picked up at dagis. We have had some fun this evening putting up some decorations for Christmas. I like this. I even remember some of things from last year. That feels good and makes me feel secure.

Skiing on George's skis

This morning I was watching TV and there was some skiing and I told mummy I wanted to try. She then remember that we had George's old skis in the basement. We went and found and went into the garden. It was fun, but not as easy as it looked on tv! I think the problem was that the garden is flat. We left daddy inside to sleep and do the vacuuming! So he missed my first ski-steps, but there will be lots more and hopefully on that big hill they have in town.
